How to Post Updates on Your Offering Page

Posting business or funding updates on your page is a key way to engage current and potential investors!

How do I post an update?

  1. Log in to your Honeycomb account
  2. Click on your name in the top right to open the menu
  3. Click "My Offerings"
  4. Scroll down and click on "Post an update"
  5. Add a photo, a title, and write your update!

When or how many updates should I post? 

We recommend posting one update per week throughout the duration of your offering. This keeps current and potential investors engaged, motivated to share your offering, or might be the last touchpoint they need to make an investment. 

Following the close of your offering, you can continue to post business updates to keep your investors informed and excited to continue supporting your business. 

NOTE: When you post an update, an automatic email notification will send to all current investors.

What kind of updates should I share with investors?

1. Funding Milestones: Share updates when you reach significant funding percentages (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%). Announce when you hit major financial targets, such as raising your first $25,000 or reaching your minimum funding goal.

2. Business Achievements: Inform investors about any industry awards, recognitions, or certifications your business receives.Highlight when you achieve significant sales or revenue targets.

3. Product or Service Updates: Announce the launch of new products or services, including key features and benefits. Share updates about any improvements or enhancements made to existing products or services.

4. Operational Updates: Inform investors about plans to expand your business, such as opening new locations or entering new markets. Announce new hires, especially key personnel, and explain how they will contribute to your business’s success.

5. Customer Success Stories: Share positive feedback and testimonials from satisfied customers.

6. Community and Social Impact: Highlight your involvement in community events or initiatives. Share updates about your efforts in social responsibility, such as sustainability practices or charitable contributions.

7. Financial Health: Provide updates on your financial performance, including quarterly or annual reports. Share news about any significant cost savings or efficiencies achieved.

8. Behind-the-Scenes Updates: Share a day-in-the-life look at your business operations or team members. Post photos or videos of your business in action, such as behind-the-scenes looks at production or team meetings.
