Social media can really magnify your message and the reach of your offering!

It is extremely important to communicate an active and consistent message on social media channels. The most common social media platforms used to promote a Honeycomb investment offering are Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Other platforms include Reddit, Twitter, NextDoor, and TikTok.


The tone you should be striking is that of positivity and love for your community. Everyone wants to join a club that looks fun, so have fun with your posts and use them to celebrate your business, your investors, and your neighborhood. When in doubt, lead with gratitude.

Best Practices:

Once your offering is 15% - 20% funded to your minimum goal, you should announce the investment opportunity to your social media followers. Following an “Announcement Post”, it’s important to keep a regular cadence of investment-related content on social media. Honeycomb recommends the following for various social media platforms:

Instagram

  • 2 times per week for full posts
  • Daily or every other day for Instagram stories
  • Add the offering page link to your Instagram bio
  • Close each caption with a call to action, “Click the link in bio to learn more!”

Facebook

  • 2 times per week for full posts
  • Include the offering page link directly in any post and refer to a call to action at the end of the caption, such as, "Click the link below to learn more and invest!"

LinkedIn

  • 1 time per week
  • Include the offering page link directly in any post
  • Best times: Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays at 7:45 AM, 10:45 AM, or 5:45 PM
